China textile machinery co.,ltd.(hereinafter as CTM), the predecessor of China Textile Machinery Manufacturing works, was established in 1920. The enterprise is located in Yangpu district, the cradle of Industry in Modern China. CTM is an old and famous enterprise specialized in textile machinery manufacturing, which once was a leading and designated weaving machine manufacturer affiliated to ministry of textile machinery of China. In June, 1992, CTM was converted to be a stock corporation (The Code of stock A: 600610, the code of stock B: 900906, stock name: CTM). The enterprise got the certification of ISO9001 quality control system in Nov., 1993 and has been listed as Shanghai High-Tech enterprise since 1994. The enterprise also got the quality certification of ISO9001:2000 of CQC in Feb., 2003.

The main products include all kinds of shuttle and shuttleless weaving machine and matched electric products, in which the PG610 rapier weaving machine, FAST rapier weaving machine , GA708 and GA718 air jet weaving machine have already reached up-to-date world technology level.

In recent 10 years, CTM has formed great variety of products line which is suitable to different technical rebuild requirements by means of technical know-how transference, digestion and absorption, cooperation and self development. The high level rapier and air jet weaving machine represent the manufacturing level of contemporary Chinese shuttleless weaving machine. SINILOOM is a new type high level rapier weaving machine developed on the basis of digesting and absorbing the technical know-how from Italian model FAST. GA708 and GA718 is a new model developed on the basis of digesting and absorbing the technical know-how from TOYOTA air jet loom, which is a versatile, high-tech and high performance air jet weaving machine.

SINILOOM and GA708 air jet weaving machine were awarded the title of state new product, Shanghai new product and the third prize of Shanghai excellent new product. GA747Ⅱrapier weaving machine was awarded the second prize of Shanghai excellent new product. GA736 serial heavy rapier weaving machine got the certificate of Shanghai high-tech achievements into projects.

Since the founding of the People s Republic of China, the enterprise has produced 900000-plus sets of weaving machines in total, which covers more than 85% of the domestic market, among which 130000 sets were for exportation that sold to 40-plus countries and regions. In Dec., 2003, CTM was awarded the record of "highest number of weaving machine" issued by Shanghai Great World DSJJNS.

CTM has different kinds of equipment imported from USA, France, Japan, etc. with 1990's technology level., including 19 machining centers , 2 FMS lines of machining system and sheet metal fabricating system , other NC controlled equipments and three-coordinate measuring instrument .

Splendid Performance:

1948 The first standard automatic shuttle loom in China was created in CTM.

1952 The first-rate mechanical casting workshop in the Far-east Asia was created and put into production in CTM.

1953 The first metal powder products in China was created in CTM.

1961 The first mechanical stepless variator in China was created in CTM.

1986 license transfer of the advanced technology of rapier weaving machine from Smit/Nuovo Pignone of Italian ENI Group and began to produce the TP500 Weaving Machine.

1992 Further cooperation was made with SMIT/Nuovo Pignone of Italian ENI Group by establishing the "Shanghai Sinital Textile Machinery Co." to co-produce 6 kinds of products including TP600 and FAST Rapier weaving machine.

1993 The technical know-how transfer of JAT600A air-jet weaving machine with current advanced level from TOYOTA Automatic Loom Works, Ltd and began to produce.

1993 Qualified in the audit and certification for the ISO9001 system of CTM, which was made by the Norwegian DNV International Quality Auditing Organization and the domestic SAC authority.

1994 The high technical know-how of metering fuel dispensers was imported from MIDI/Nuovo Pignone of Italian ENI Group and starts to produce DP series fuel dispensers.

1995 A 10000 square meter workshop of Machining Center and CNC lathes was established .One FMS of 5 machining Centers and one sheet metal FMS were imported and put into production.

2000 - 2008, the enterprise participated and implemented State and Shanghai new product developing project, Digestion and Absorption project and thinking development project several times.

2000 GA 708 air jet loom got the certificate of state class new product. 2001 SINILOOM Rapier weaving machine won the third-class prize of Shanghai excellent new product.

2002 GA747/Ⅱ rapier weaving machine won the second-class prize of Shanghai excellent new product. GA747/Ⅱ rapier weaving machine(reed width 180-280CM) got the certificate of Shanghai key new product. FAST/SINILOOM rapier weaving machine was listed in the Shanghai introduction, absorption and digestion plan. FAST/SINILOOM rapier weaving machine(reed width 190-260CM) got the certificate of Shanghai new product and state class key new product. GA736 rapier weaving machine got the prize of Shanghai high-tech achievements into projects

2003 GA718 air jet loom was listed in the Shanghai introduction, absorption and digestion plan.

2004 GA718 air jet loom was re-listed in the Shanghai introduction, absorption and digestion plan. FAST/SINILOOM got the certificate of Shanghai new product and won two new practical patents on "bevel gear driving mechanism of air jet shedding device" and " ribbon heat sink of rapier weaving machine".

2007 the enterprise implemented the research subject named＂intelligentized mechanical-electrical integration shuttleless weaving machine＂in the project of new generation textile facility supported by state Science and Technology department. And jointly developed PG610 series high speed rapier weaving machine with 650r/min-plus design speed and 600r/min max. weaving speed up to the international advanced level. To date, the prototype has completed test weaving in the customer's factory and will implement product appraisal.

2008 the enterprise participated and implemented advanced air jet research and development mission in the project of high performance air jet weaving machine supported by Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. And developed GA708H series high speed air jet weaving machine with 1100r/min design speed. CTM also developed beating up balance device and applied in the existing products.

CTM also has achieved abundant accomplishment in spiritual civilization. The enterprise was awarded the title of The Spiritual Civilization Business of Shanghai and State textile machinery industry, etc..

Mr. Jiang Zemin and other Central Government Leaders visited CTM early or late and always concern about the development of CTM. In early 1990s Huang Guan Cong, a famous entrepreneur and former vice chairman of Shanghai CPPCC, applied to work in CTM actively. Grasping the shareholding system reform opportunity as the turning point, CTM was revived and vigorous.
